You got it, dude!

My search through San Francisco for the dream abode – THE Full House house. Photos, the address and do the neighbours appreciate visitors?

As I sat at breakfast this morning, I pondered one of the timeless questions I quite often like to consider over coffee and toast – “What ever happened to predictability?”

I mean, we kind of know what happened to the milkman… and the paperboy (I’m blaming Uncle Danny for that one!)… and considering my most recent employment at a commercial network, I certainly know what happened to evening TV.

But that still doesn’t quite tell us about the predicament of predictability.

So, after some intensive research (a google search) and some extensive planning (finding the address on a map), I headed out on a quest for answers.

Lo and behold, what did I find, nestled in a quiet suburban street in West San Francisco?

That’s right – THE Full House house

I stood and I stared. So many happy childhood memories. And, as I stood and stared at the house, I even noticed that they’d left the front light on.

Yep, a light was waiting to carry me home.

I didn’t go and knock on the door. It was tempting, but I didn’t dare.

I knew Bob Sagat wouldn’t be there. I knew John Stamos wouldn’t be either. And I was worried I’d find some Olsen up-chuck in the bushes anyway. (How rude!)

So, I left, content. I knew that this had satisfied my urge to relive a happy childhood. That is, at least, until I get to Chicago and go on the hunt for the Family Matters house!

Where is the Full House house in San Francisco?

The address for the house is 1709 Broderick Street and it’s actually really easy to find.

It’s in the block between Bush Street and Pine Street and you should recognise the house straight away if you’re a big enough fan.

From downtown San Francisco, it’s about a 10 minute drive or a 50 minute walk.

If you want to take public transport, I would recommend heading to this site and using the trip planner, with ‘1709 Broderick St’ as your destination.

  2. I actually was talking with a guy who delivers FedEx in the area daily and he had no idea. He told me about the woman who lives there and offered to introduce us! haha
